Virgil Abloh Gets Honored During Kendrick Lamar’s Performance At The Louis Vuitton Fashion Show

Almost a month has passed since Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers, Kendrick Lamar’s comeback album, was released. Despite Kendrick’s relative seclusion during its release, the album has received great praise. His first performances, including one at the Cannes Lions Festival, have been given over the last several days.

At Louis Vuitton’s MenSS23 show during Paris Fashion Week this morning, the rapper made a surprising presence. Prior to Kendrick gently slipping through with a performance of new music off of Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers, The Marching 100, a marching band from Tallahassee, opened the night.

K. Dot performed cover versions of songs including “N95” and “Savior” in the front row close to Naomi Campbell while also paying tribute to Virgil Abloh. According to reports, the spring 2023 men’s collection show for Louis Vuitton will be the final one to be organized by Virgil Abloh’s group.

In Accra, Ghana, where he hung out in a skate park established by Abloh and his team, K. Dot made his most recent appearance after Spotify’s mini-doc was made public. In addition, K. Dot performed at the Super Bowl with Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Mary J. Blige, and 50 Cent earlier this year while sporting a Louis Vuitton suit designed by Virgil Abloh.
