Wahala! : Mr. Eazi Calls Out Bad Bunny For Copyright Infringement On Joeboy’s Song
On February 6, 2023, Mr. Eazi used his Twitter account to criticize Latino superstar Bad Bunny for violating the rights of EmPawa musician Joeboy.
Oluwatosin Ajibade, better known by his stage name Mr. Eazi, is a Nigerian singer and the head of the EmPawa record label. He recently accused Bad Bunny of violating his company’s copyright by the infringement.
“Yo @sanbenito, you need to tell your lawyers to stop messing around and clear that Joeboy rip-off on your album,” the tweet reads.

Mr. Eazi claims that Bad Bunny recorded a Joeboy song without seeking clearance from the label and the artist.
To prove his claim, Mr. Eazi added a YouTube link to the disputed song in a subsequent tweet.
The CEO of EmPawa didn’t limit his criticism to Twitter; instead, he went on Linkedin to elaborate on the copyright violation further.
Mr. Eazi expressed his dissatisfaction with Bad Bunny and his label for failing to get the song cleared in a post on his Linkedin profile. He went on to say that he thought their behavior was disrespectful and demeaning.
Bad Bunny’s camp, though, is yet to respond to these claims as Netizens continue to observe and monitor how the story unfolds.
