Rexxie’s song with Wizkid and the use of a lyric strikingly similar to one of Portable’s catchphrases were both targets of criticism from Portable in the viral video.
Rexxie was also criticized by the divisive singer, who suggested focusing on praying if he can’t sing instead of worrying about it.

In the viral video, the Zazu singer ridiculed Rexxie for duplicating one of his most well-known phrases. Then Portable said that if Rexxie can’t sing, he should stick to his trade as a producer or turn to prayer because being a singer is no joke. Finally, the “wahala musician” mimicked their song’s lines, making his pals snigger in the distance.

While some commented that not every producer should sing like Young John and Pheelz, many fans saw Portable’s statement admonishing Rexxie.

Also, a new song by Portable that was just released has caused considerable consternation. “Obi is a Boy,” the new song’s title, reinterprets current presidential election events in 2023. As opposed to Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, Portable compared Peter Obi to a young political boy in the song. Also, he made fun of him for crying on live television while referring to Jagaban, one of Tinubu’s nicknames, as the leader of the Yoruba people.
