“We Don’t Talk About Bruno” Becomes The Second Disney Song To Hit #1

Yet another great song has joined in the history of chart-topping songs from the stables of Disney. “We Don’t Talk About Bruno”, an original soundtrack to the blockbuster animation “Encanto”, has clawed its way to the top of the Billboard Hot 100 charts!

Late last year, Disney outdid themselves again with the release of Encanto. And since then, both the animated film and its soundtrack album have been doing insane numbers worldwide, tearing through charts and breaking records. However, the first-ever Disney original soundtrack to pace the road to number one on the Billboard Hot 100 was “A Whole New World”. And for a whole straight week, it reigned supreme at the top of the chart. Peabo Bryson and Regina Belle’s adult-contemporary pop version of the Aladdin-themed song was a big tune back in 1993 if history is anything accurate to go by.

29 years later, “We Don’t Talk About Bruno” is found walking in the mighty footsteps of the 1993 Disney hit, this time toppling Adele’s “Easy on Me”, another heavyweight that had, prior to this time, spent weeks comfortably seated at the top spot. The song written and produced by Lin-Manuel Miranda was rendered mainly by the cast members Carolina Gaitán, Mauro Castillo, Adassa, Rhenzy Feliz, Diane Guerrero, and Stephanie Beatriz.
