“Why Would I Care?” Says Iggy Azalea In Defense Of Her “Trash” Viral Rap

Iggy Azalea has drawn a lot of attention on social media since announcing her comeback to music last month. The “Fancy” artist criticized the New York Post in August for inciting a phony feud between her and Nicki Minaj. “We’ve never said anything bad about one another. Y’all weird,” she wrote in her tweet aimed at the news outlet.

Iggy has already defended herself in public against online trolls. The 32-year-old mother of one turned to social media on Wednesday (September 21) to slam online haters when a video of her 2013 Sway In Morning freestyle reappeared online.

Many reviewers complained that the freestyle was poor, while some claimed that the video was phony and altered. Someone on Twitter wrote, “Never forget when John from Tennessee violated Iggy Azalea’s freestyle.” In response to the clip, Iggy wrote, “Never forget that this is a literal EDIT & whilst this verse is indeed trash, John from Tennessee has never called me.”

One commenter defended the celebrity, writing, “They bring this video up every month Thinkin it’s real and I literally just laugh.” The Australian rapper wrote back, “Same because it’s always to sh** on me but it doesn’t upset me because it never actually happened so why would I care?”
