With The Assistance Of His Father And Son, Jadakiss Launches A Coffee Business

With his recently established coffee business, Jadakiss is keeping things inside the family. The 47-year-old rapper has formally joined a new industry with the help of his father Bob Phillips and his son Jaewon Phillips. A press release claims that Kiss Café represents three generations of tradition, fidelity, and a passion for coffee.

Since 1977, the oldest Phillips man has worked in the coffee business. He has been the president and chief executive officer of Caturra Corp., a specialized importer and trader of foreign green coffees, since 1998.

“This is one of my proudest professional and personal achievements,” gushed Bob. “There is no greater honor than taking what you’ve learned in this life and inspiring your family to join you and bring that pursuit to the next level.”

In 2018, the Phillips family’s youngest member entered the coffee industry.

“Kiss Café is authentic,” said Jaewon. “It’s real. No gimmicks. It’s been in our family for well over 40 years and everything we do here is from the core.”

Longtime creative director and family friend Set Free Richardson, whose company, Compound, will handle all marketing initiatives, was the creative force behind the Kiss Café branding. Beijo roast, which means kiss in Portuguese, was Kiss Café’s first offering. The whole beans or ground versions of the medium-dark Arabica blend, which is sourced from Central America, are available online through the brand’s website, starting at $14.99.
