After their supporters learned about the marketing plan Wizkid and Burna Boy had used to fill the stadiums for their tour, they became trending topics. Burna Boy announced that he would play at the 80,000-seat London stadium in December 2022. Additionally, he disclosed that the performance would take place on June 23, 2023. If Wizkid had not also announced he would be performing at the same stadium on June 1, 2023, Burna would have been the first African artist to play at a stadium in London.
Wizkid had to reserve the 62,500-capacity Tottenham Stadium in London because his crew could not secure the London Stadium before Burna. The question of who will sell out their stadium venues first has been a contention between Wizkid and Burna fans. Burna Boy is running a “buy one, get one” promotion to fill the London stadium, according to receipts released by Wizkid FC.
The response from Burna Fans was “Accessible seats.” Accessible seating, in their opinion, is reserved for patrons with impairments and their guests. In retaliation, they brought up Jada P, who allegedly employs influencers and others to spread lies about how Wizkid has sold out tickets to the Tottenham Hotspur stadium. Have a look at some of the fan responses below.
