Wizkid And Burna Boy Billed To Headline Afro Nation Miami 2023

Afro Nation is traveling to Miami for the first American installment of the festival devoted to Afrobeats. Burna Boy and Wizkid will perform at LoanDepot Park’s two-day event, which has been labeled “the world’s biggest Afrobeats festival,” on May 27 and 28.

Along with the well-known dancehall musician Beenie Man and the Nigerian artists Rema and Asake, the initial lineup of performers also features the up-and-coming acts CKay, BNXN, Dadju, and Black Sherif. In addition, the lineup also includes Franglish, Nelson Freitas, Gyakie, and Nissi. The news announcement states that further performers will be added in the upcoming months.

Beginning January 13 at 1 p.m. ET through the USA, general tickets go on sale. To get the presale for Afro Nation, register at the website.

Afro Nation festivals made their global debut in 2022 with a series of successful events in Portugal, Ghana, and Puerto Rico. Over 40,000 concertgoers attended the Portugal festival in July, which featured headliners Wizkid, Burna Boy, and Megan Thee Stallion. (The festival’s presence in the same spot from June 28 to 30 in 2023 has already been confirmed; the lineup has not yet been revealed.) They made a stop in Ghana for the festival’s first event there since 2019 — the year the festival was founded — to round up the year.
