Wizkid Performs In Cotonou After Skipping Concert In Abidjan

Ayodeji Balogun, also known as Wizkid, a Nigerian musician, songwriter, and performer, delighted his fans in Cotonou with a tranquil performance after skipping his Abidjan event. On December 11, 2022, the celebrated singer was scheduled to perform in Abidjan in the Ivory Coast and Cotonou in the Benin Republic, but only one of the two cities saw him.

The frontline artist for Starboy Entertainment received the same bashing he got for ditching his show in Ghana like he did for missing his show in Abidjan. However, the singer and his crew arrived safely in Cotonou, Benin Republic, where he enthralled the crowd with a mellow rendition of his hit songs including “Soco,” “Bad to Me,” “Joro,” “Azonto,” “Show you the money,” and more.

Wiz must be really booked and busy this holiday season because just a day before the arrival of this information about his Cotonou show, he was reported to have skipped his huge concert in Ghana which was to take place at a stadium in Ghana. He has since come forward on his social media accounts to give a statement on him being a no-show.

A source close to the Afrobeat superstar has also confirmed on Twitter that the reason Wiz wasn’t able to perform as billed was completely out of his hands.
