Wizkid Teases The Release Of “Soundman Vol. 2”

Nigerian superstar musician Ayodeji Balogun, known better by his stage name Wizkid caused a stir in his usual manner when he shared a remark on his Instagram story, teasing a possible release of the second installation to his first groundbreaking EP, SoundMan, which took most, if not all of his fans by surprise. The 7-track project was released in December 2019 under his Starboy Entertainment imprint and featured guest appearances from Blaq Jerzee and Chronixx, with production from established names like Kel-P and London.

The EP was well-received and achieved massive success, which is why teasing the second volume of the project immediately sparked a fire amongst his loyal Wizkid FC fan base, with most pleading with the biggest bird, as he calls himself, to slow down to enable them properly digest his recently released album More Love, Less Ego. However, others were of the opinion that he kept the bangers coming and that they could not get enough.

This strategic tease comes only a few months after Big Wiz released his critically acclaimed fifth studio album, which still sits in the top 3 albums in Nigeria on the Apple Music chart. And because Wiz has proven to be a little unpredictable, we can only stick around to find out his next move with “SoundMan Vol. II.” Stay woke, FC. It could be any day now.
