YBNL CEO Olamide Nominated to Billboard’s 2023 International Power Players List
As the CEO of one of the biggest music labels in Nigeria, YBNL, popular rapper Olamide has received recognition from the well-known entertainment publication Billboard for his efforts and labor.
After discovering and offering a platform to some of the best musicians in Nigeria, like Fireboy DML, Asake, Adekunle Gold, and others, the phenomenal and multiple award-winning rapper was nominated to the 2023 International Power Players List by Billboard. With Asake already releasing two songs with the titles “Yoga” and “2:30,” the rapper recently collaborated with CKay on a new song titled “Trumpet,” and this has fans excited about what is to come from him and musicians on his label in the year 2023.
Olamide founded the record label YBNL in 2012. It inked a distribution agreement with global music publishing and distribution business Empire in 2020. Olamide has helped some of the talented musicians in Nigeria breakthrough, while he has also signed some of them. YBNL once had contracts with several well-known Nigerian singers, including Adekunle Gold.
Olamide has developed YBNL Nation into one of the most renowned record labels, making a tremendous number of waves in the current Nigerian music business. With more hits underway, Baddo will sit on top of the game for a long time.
