Young The Giant Unveils Acoustic EP ‘Both Sides’ Amidst Ongoing Tour

June 2, 2023 – Young The Giant, the critically acclaimed, multi-platinum selling band, has released a four-track acoustic EP titled ‘Both Sides’. This release comes alongside their fifth studio album ‘American Bollywood’ and the current Top 15 single “The Walk Home”. The EP was recorded at Sunset Sound in Los Angeles, CA, the same studio where their self-titled debut record was created.

‘Both Sides’ features acoustic renditions of “Dancing In The Rain” and “The Walk Home”, a special Reflections version of “The Walk Home”, and an acoustic cover of Joni Mitchell’s “Both Sides Now.” The acoustic version of “The Walk Home” was released on May 12, accompanied by a music video filmed at Sunset Sound by Drew Dempsey.

In addition to the EP release, Young The Giant has announced European headline tour dates for October. This will be their first European tour since 2019, with 11 shows planned across 7 different countries.

Their latest album, ‘American Bollywood’, marks the first Young The Giant album in four years. The studio single “The Walk Home” has steadily climbed up the charts to the top 15 on Alternative radio. To promote the new ‘Both Sides’ EP and ‘American Bollywood’, the band is currently touring the US with special guest Milky Chance. The tour began on May 30th in Montreal and will conclude on September 2nd in Las Vegas, NV.

The band’s lead singer, Sameer Gadhia, the son of Indian immigrants, has penned most of the lyrics for ‘American Bollywood’. The album narrates the multi-generational saga of the American immigrant, and the origins, exiles, battles, and process of reclaiming their collective identity.

Gadhia has also been recognized in Variety’s 2022 Inclusion Impact Report, which highlights advocates for inclusivity who’ve made an impact in the entertainment industry over the past year. In 2020, he launched Point of Origin on SIRIUSXM’s Alt Nation, a platform to amplify voices of color.
