Ademola Nurudeen Jackson Adeleke, best known as Ademola Adeleke, is a Nigerian politician and businessman. Since 2022, he has served as the governor of Osun State, Nigeria. From 2017 to 2019, he was the senator that represented the Osun-west senatorial district. He was given his late brother Isiaka Adeleke’s senatorial seat after his death. Isiaka Adeleke was popularly called “Serubawon.” Ademola Adeleke is from the wealthy Adeleke family of Ede in Osun State. Under the platform of the People’s Democratic Party, he contested in the 2022 gubernatorial elections and defeated the incumbent governor, Adegboyega Isiaka Oyetola of the APC. Oyetola had previously defeated him in the 2018 Osun State gubernatorial election rerun. He is the tenth governor of Osun State. He has been nicknamed the “Dancing Senator” due to his jolly demeanor. He is also known as Afrobeats star, Davido’s uncle.
A native of Ede, Osun State, Ademola Adeleke was born on May 13th, 1960. He celebrated his 62nd birthday on May 13, 2022.
