Asisat Oshoala Biography

Asisat Lamina Oshoala, known simply as Asisat Oshoala, is a Nigerian professional footballer who currently plays for Barcelona in Spain. Before moving over there, though, she had had stints at Liverpool and Arsenal.

She was into a polygamous family in Ikorodu and knew pretty early that football was her calling. However, as she has admitted in interviews, it wasn’t easy for her to play the game initially because of her Muslim background.

However, she was adamant she wanted to play football, and she was courageous enough to stick with the dream of playing the game. As the saying goes, the rest is history.
