Dayo Amusa Biography
Dayo Amusa, a Nigerian actress, singer, television host, and businesswoman was born on July 20, 1983. She is renowned for her work in Nollywood films, particularly Yoruba films. She was a student at Ikene’s Mayflower School. Dayo attended Moshood Abiola Polytechnic to study Food Science and Technology before beginning her acting career in 2002. Dayo’s debut performance occurred in 2006. She has acted in English-language films, although she primarily appears in Nollywood films in the Yoruba language. Dayo is also the proprietress of PayDab Schools, which has branches in Ibadan and Lagos.
Her father, Mr. Kolawole Rasheed Amusa, is a retired engineer, and her mother, Mrs. Abiola Amusa, is an entrepreneur. While the actress and her father are natives of Lagos State, her mother is from Ogun State.
The actress has four siblings, all raised by their parents in Lagos. Nonetheless, there have been claims that Dayo has a twin sister who is her “carbon copy.” According to online sources, Dayo’s twin is not in the entertainment field, and the actress does not speak about her; thus, information about her is sparse in the media. This information has not been verified.
Dayo Amusa has one child as of the time of writing. Ayomikun Amusa is the actress’s grown-up daughter. She was born on December 31, 2001, and will be 21 years old this year. Her mother has always worked to keep her out of the media, so nothing is known about her. Last year, though, the actress took to Instagram to commemorate her daughter’s 20th birthday.
Dayo has never been married. However, when asked about her romantic life in one of her interviews, she offered the interviewer a rhetorical question. In her words: “I don’t see marriage as a supermarket which you want to jump into for window shopping and then when you feel the mall is boring, you come out of it, why go into it in the first place?”
Dayo started her acting career in 2002; now, her net worth is estimated at $800,000. While appearing primarily in Yoruba films, she is one of Nigeria’s most notable and important actors. She is also one of the top wealthiest actresses in Nigeria.
Dayo has a penchant for exotic automobiles. In 2019, she shared a video of a white car that appeared to be a Bentley. She has also been photographed posing with multiple vehicles on several occasions. We don’t know if the cars are hers, though she can afford one or two exotic rides.
The Nollywood diva lives in Lagos State and hasn’t mentioned acquiring or building a home.
Dayo debuted in the Nigerian film industry, often known as Nollywood, in 2002. She then began receiving minor film roles until she was skilled enough to play important characters. She has appeared in several films, including Diary, Aroba, Ajegbodo, Oju Awo, Ekan Soso, Idaa, Pathetic, Oogun Mii, Dewunmi Iberu, Inu, Blow my Mind, and many others.
Dayo Amusa decided to begin producing her films in 2006, concentrating on the Yoruba genre. She co-wrote, directed, and starred in the 2013 film Unforgivable (Ainidariji) with Iyabo Ojo, Bukky Wright, and Fathia Balogun. In the year 2019, she created the Yoruba movie Omoniyun. She appeared in it with Nkechi Blessing, Segun Arinze, and other Nigerian actors.
