Deontay Leshun Wilder, known simply as Deontay Wilder, is an American professional boxer and former WBC heavyweight champion. growing up, my dream was to play football or basketball. But life had other plans for him.
He got married early, struggled with several jobs, including that of a driver, and then pivoted into boxing. The year was 2005 and Deontay had taken the leap into the ring as an amateur boxer. Skyy Boxing Gym in Alabama became a new home of sorts, where he developed his skills as a boxer,
A year later, in 2007, he competed in the National Golden Gloves tournament and impressed many with his performance. By staying consistent and focused on his dream, he had gone on to have a highly successful boxing career after turning pro, with 43 wins so far in his career.

Losses
The world of boxing is pretty unpredictable. A boxer might have a sterling record without a single loss for a long time, only to succumb to defeat at some point, leading to a “blemish” in his record. Deontay Wilder has been through that but still maintains a fine record anyway.
So far in his career, he has had 2 knockout losses. His first loss was in 2020 to Tyson Fury. The second loss happened with a rematch the following year, which he lost by another knockout in the 11th round. But that isn’t much compared to his 42 knockout wins.
