Pastor Chris Oyakhilome Biography
Pastor Chris was born on 7 December 1963, in Edo State, Nigeria, to Tim and Angelina Oyakhilome. He is the third of seven children and the first of two sons.
He attended Edo College and, on scholarship, was admitted to Bendel State University, which was afterward renamed Ambrose Ali University, Ekpoma, where he studied and earned a first degree in Architecture, and later the Benson Idahosa university to study Theology and Divinity, where he was honored with a doctorate afterward.
Born into a family of nine, He is the eldest son of Elder Tim E. Oyakhilome and Angelina Oyakhilome. As expected, the Oyakhilome family is quite large, with a family of Seven children. Elder Tim and Angelina are great-grandparents already. Unfortunately, information about this large family can not be exhausted as almost all the Oyakhilome family members work under LoveWorld Incorporated in ministry and service.
Pastor Chris Oyakhilome’s nephew, Pastor Daysman Oyakhilome Woghiren, is ministerially and biologically linked to him. He is one of Africa’s rising leaders, and he is utilizing his talents to encourage young people to be touched by God’s Word. As the CEO of Carel Films Enterprise, he uses current media and communication methods to share the Good News. He has produced around 100 Christian music videos and animations, including “I Know Who I Am” by Sinach, “Kinging” by Rozey, “Igbunu” by Micheal Jaffe, and “Untouchable” by TB1. He won the American Academy of Animations Award three times before age 20. He also received the renowned Walt Disney Award and was nominated for a Future African Leaders Award(FALA).
Elder T.E. Oyakhilome, his father, was a founding member of the Assemblies of God Church in Benin City. Pastor Chris, his firstborn son, found him to be an inspiration early enough. He celebrated his mother Angelina’s 80th birthday with a party in Benin. She is loved and adored as the “quintessential matriarch” for her justice and grace. She is a devoted mother, grandma, and mother-in-law who has bestowed divine grace on her son.
He has five sisters and a brother, all involved with Loveworld and the Christ Embassy. They are Beayeta Akhuemokhan (née Oyakhilome), Mercy Oyakhilome, Kenneth Oyakhilome, Linda Okocha (née Oyakhilome), Kathy Woghiren (née Oyakhilome), and Lovelina Osazuwa (née Oyakhilome).
Tim and Angelina Oyakhilome had two sons. Reverend Ken is Pastor Chris’s younger brother. As the renowned Pastor of Christ Embassy’s Houston, Texas branch, he has taught much wisdom and transformed many lives. He also serves on the Christ Embassy Central Executive Council.

Pastor Chris’ marriage resulted in two amazing daughters. He and his ex-wife Anita may have chosen to break their marriage, but they adore their lovely daughters Carissa Sharon, and Charlene. They are both currently residing in London. His daughter Sharon, who lives in London and just married Phillip Frimpong, is an inspirational gospel singer. Charlene, her sister, was a lovely bridesmaid at her wedding.
