Jerry Uchechukwu Eze, popularly known as Jerry Eze, is a famous Nigerian pastor and digital evangelist. He is the founder and pastor of Streams Of Joy International, with headquarters in Umuahia, Abia State, Nigeria. Eze is also the convener of the New Season Prophetic Prayers and Declaration (NSPPD), an online digital prayer meeting that went viral during the COVID-19 pandemic (lockdown season) in 2020.

Jerry Eze is happily married to Eno Eze, who assists as a pastor at the Streams Of Joy International church. In an interview with Chude Jideonwo, the famous pastor shared that his work as a priest almost ruined his marriage. He revealed that he struggled to balance his ministering job as a pastor and his place as a husband and father.

He said, “My wife and I had our own illumination season, so to speak. If you read her book ‘I Almost Ruined My Marriage,’ she needed to see the pastor in me, not necessarily her husband, during those turbulent times. I didn’t realise why God was causing me to be in that place of being moulded by her actions. Being a true Christian by her, I mean, things were not going too well, and I was still in that place where I was trying to be the great spouse…when she came full circle, she realised that, beyond this supernatural and manifestation, this man is a true Christian. Like, this is what it is. And that it’s not acting. I’m sincerely in that place where all that I desire, with all the growing numbers, is that Jesus be pleased.”

He said in an interview with PunchNG, “My first introduction to God was my mom saying I was going to be a voice in my generation; that I was going to serve God. That was how I grew up and continued in my journey with God. I grew up in a poor home; I must not forget to say that my mom was quite indigent.”

After making a name in Umuahia, Nigeria, Pastor Jerry Eze gained national and global recognition after his ministry Live Stream went viral and recorded millions of viewers who tuned in to pray with him. The Live streaming prayer event sees him fervently praying over thousands of stacks of requests that he received from his followers around the world. The Live stream happens every morning at 7 am Nigerian time.

Eze prays for cures to ailments, promotions, open doors, challenges such as illnesses, court cases, financial issues, etc. He also preaches miracle healing and is known for the slogan, “What God cannot do does not exist.” Pastor Jerry’s preachings and prayer sessions are circulated through live broadcasts. It features prayer sessions and pre-recorded videos from his followers sharing testimonies and results of his prayers they were a part of. The “strange” testimonies range from healings from terminal illnesses, sudden ‘divine’ elevation, to conception after years of infertility.
