Shou Chew was born in Singapore on January 1st, 1983. His mother was a bookkeeper, and his father was a construction worker. Shou Zi Chew has excellent English, Mandarin, and Malay command.
After graduating from Hwa Chong Institution, Chew participated in National Service as a commissioned officer in the Singapore Armed Forces. While in the military, Chew pursued a Bachelor of Economics at University College London, earning his degree in 2006. He earned his Master of Business Administration in 2010 from Harvard Business School, where he also worked a summer internship at Facebook just before the company went public.
