Ejenobor was born in Benin City to Urhobo-descendant Nigerian parents from Delta State. Delta State is a Nigerian state located in the country’s South-South geopolitical zone. On August 27, 1991, the state was founded from the former Bendel State and named after the Niger Delta, which covers a substantial portion of the state. Asaba, the state capital, is located on the northeastern bank of the Niger River, while the twin cities of Warri and Uvwie serve as the state’s economic hub.

Parents

Ejenobor was born in Benin City to Urhobo-descendant Nigerian parents from Delta State. She spent most of her infant years in Jos after frequently moving between Benin City and that city. At the age of 7, her father gave her the nickname Isio, which is Urhobo for “star.” She was given this name in honor of the lead actress in the NTA Benin production of Telefest, “The Pot of Life.”

From age 10, Ufuoma’s mother constantly reprimanded her for being a “television star.” This was a result of her passion for reading books and watching TV. A “burnt offering” resulted from practically every meal she was requested to prepare because of her immense devotion. They both had no idea it was a prophecy about their daughter.

Ufuoma and her British husband have two children, one boy, Isio Jared, and one girl, Kesiena Alize. She also disclosed in 2018 that her baby, whom she named “Isio,” was conceived via IVF vitro fertilization. Isio was born in 2012, and Kes in 2015.
