In our opinion, everyone is a fan of Country singer and songwriter Eric Church. We are all members of the Church Choir. LoL. The country star has been blessed with so much success throughout his career. He has dropped hit songs and albums that you could play for years and not tire out.

A few months back, Church announced and released the triple album “Heart & Soul.” The project features 24 tracks in total. The first one was his “Heart,” then “&” and finally “Soul.” “&” is dedicated to Church’s day one fans who have been with him since the beginning. Now, that’s thoughtful of the Country star. On it, he goes through many emotions that only his day ones would experience. When it was first released, the album was only available on vinyl. However, it has now been made available to Streaming and Digital platforms.

The artwork for “&” is quite interesting to look at. We like to believe that it raises different emotions in the hearts of different people. It sort of looks like a purple sky that is surrounded by black raging clouds. The clouds almost closed out the sky. It’s a bit dark, but somehow, it speaks to you. You’d have to figure out what it’s saying all by yourself.

Features

In our opinion, no one can deliver an Eric Church song like Eric Church. The Country star is one of the biggest stars on the scene for a reason. We like to think he rode solo on the entire “&” EP because of how personal the record is. We think of it as a love letter to his die-hard fans. Church sings from his heart to his fans and lets them into his world, still a bit imperfect.

You cannot listen to an Eric Church album and not have favorites. While the country star always makes his albums interesting from start to finish, fans always end up having favorites. The “&” EP contains six tracks, most of which make you feel like you’re in an Eric Church concert. Fans have praised “Through My Ray-Bans,” a song inspired by his experience playing at the 2017 Route 91 Harvest Festival in Las Vegas. Other tracks that have also gained praise include “Doing Life With Me,” a song that shows his softer and even more emotional side, and the heartbreak songs “Kiss Her Goodbye” and “Mad Man.”

Production & Vocal Delivery

You can’t miss an Eric Church song when you hear it. From the production to the vocal delivery, you know the man the minute the song starts playing. He makes music in a way that grabs attention. Jay Joyce handled the entire production of the EP. The most fun thing about the EP is the production and his vocal delivery all through. He takes fans through a barrage of emotions that gives us a peak into his heart. The EP’s production and his vocals on it compliment each other.

Summary

Many have called Eric Church’s “Heart & Soul” album “his best project so far.” The triple project feels like three different projects in one. That seems to be what he was gunning for when he made it. “&” Is everything we thought it would be. When Church announced that it was a project for his day-one fan, there was no doubt that he would take fans back to the beginning, or at least, what feels like the beginning. We got to see different sides to the country star. “&” is inspired by a few true life events, including the loyalty of his fans, love, and heartbreak. It is one of those personal projects that warm your heart because of its theme.
