Nigerian singer Abiola Ahmed Akinbiyi, also known as Bella Shmurda, was born on January 27, 1996. He became well-known after the song “Vision 2020” and its subsequent remix, which included the Nigerian rapper Olamide, were released. In addition, he released several popular songs in 2020, including “Cash App” with Zlatan, which included several renowned musicians. As a result, he was put in for the 2020 Headies Next Rated Award.

Bella Shmurda was born and raised in Lagos state. He grew up with his parents and siblings, and also attended primary, secondary and tertiary schools in the state. At a tender age, Bella Shmurda developed a passion for music which he tried to hone on his own. He also began releasing freestyles and indepent music.

In 2019, he signed with One World Global records and released “Vision 2020”. The song was noticed by YBNL Nation head, Olamide who requested for a remix. Olamide later featured on the official remix of Bella Shmurda’s “Vision 2020 hit. The remix became even bigger than the first song, bringing Bella even more recognition in the Nigerian music scene. The song received massive airplay across radio stations in Nigeria.

Bella Shmurda achieved more fame in 2020 following the release of his song “Cash App”. The song which references internet fraud became an even bigger hit in Nigeria and also across Africa. Bella Shmurda was also featured on Olamide’s chart-topping album “Carpe Diem” alongside Fireboy, Omah Lay and more.
