American rapper and record executive Radric Delantic Davis, better known by his stage name Gucci Mane, was born on February 12, 1980. Along with fellow Atlanta-based rappers T.I. and Young Jeezy, he played a vital role in developing the hip-hop subgenre known as trap music, particularly in the 2000s and 2010s. Gucci Mane made his recording debut with Trap House in 2005.
