Harrysong Biography

Harrison Tare Okiri, best known by his stage name Harrysong, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and instrumentalist who rose to prominence when his song honoring Nelson Mandela won the “Most Downloaded Callertune Award” at the 2013 Headies. Ijaw parents gave birth to Harrysong in Warri, Delta State, Nigeria. However, he spent some of his early years in Port Harcourt before relocating to Lagos in 2007. Harrysong previously worked as a nightclub performer before joining QuestionMark Entertainment. Kcee introduced Harrysong to prominent musicians. As a result, Harrysong released the number-one song “Beta Pikin” in 2014, which earned him a nomination for “Best Pop/R&B Artist of the Year” at the 2014 Nigeria Entertainment Awards.

Family

Parents

There is no tangible information on the singer’s parents. Harrysong, an only kid of Ijaw descent, and his parents relocated to Lagos State in 2007. Sadly, his mother passed away later, leaving him with a stepmother. Harrysong didn’t finish his education due to his mother’s passing and the resulting tense relationship with his stepmother. Still, he didn’t let that define the trajectory of his life.

Siblings

The singer is an only child. He disclosed in an interview that his father and mother were related but had already welcomed him into the world before realizing it. Eventually, they had to part ways.

In December 2022, Harrysong and his wife had their second daughter. The delighted father published a photo of his fingers clutching the baby’s on his Instagram page to reveal this. In addition, he revealed her name,  Purity, and the exact time she was born. Six months after having their first daughter, Daviva, on December 9th, 2021, Harrysong announced in June 2022 that his wife was expecting their second child. In 2017, the musician and his then-girlfriend, who was residing in Abuja, announced the birth of a set of twins with the names Perez (a male) and Tare (a girl). However, Harrysong asserted that Daviva was his first kid and denied having fathered the twins.

Wife

Alexer Perez Gopa is Harrysong’s stunning wife. Harrysong announced his engagement to his bride on February 4th on his Instagram profile, and on March 27th, 2021, they were married. Alexer Peres Gopa is a Bayelsa State-born model, brand ambassador, and entrepreneur. Daviva, Harrysong’s first kid, is Alexer’s daughter. She has, however, chosen to keep her personal and professional life private.

According to Wikipedia, Forbes, IMDB, and other internet sources, Harrysong’s estimated net worth is $5 million, or more than 2 billion naira. He makes significant income through endorsement deals, music streaming services, and live performance fees.

Cars

He drives an S-class Mercedes. 2018 saw Harrysong acquire the incredible Mercedes Benz S class. Due to the car’s high level of security and bulletproof construction, it was rumored to have cost him 90 million naira. According to reports, the singer spent about 15 million naira on a Hummer H2 in 2014. The following year, he acquired the Range Rover Supercharged, which cost him about 10 million naira. In 2013, Harrysong dropped 15 million naira for the charming BMW X6 Sedan.

House

Harrysong is reputed to be a significant figure in the music business. According to rumors, the gifted singer resides in a mansion in Lekki, Lagos State, Nigeria. He claimed that he has always had housing issues and made a vow to himself that as soon as he started earning good money, he would buy a house.

Harrysong is signed to Five Star Music. Five Star Music is a record company with its headquarters in Nigeria. Emeka Okonkwo, singer Kcee’s elder brother, is in charge. Kcee is also signed to the record label. After Harrysong signed in 2013, Questionmark Records sued Five Star Music. However, it’s unclear whether the problem was solved. The label, which has been around since 2010, finally broke through in 2013 with the release of “Limpopo.” The label also took new artist Skiibii under its wings in 2014.
