He was born in Ajegunle, Lagos State but had his formative years of education. Growing up in Anambra and the Lagos States, he received his elementary schooling in some of the finest public schools then, amongst which was Tolu Primary School, and Central High School, Isolo.
When Kcee reflected on his history and discussed living in such a place, he claimed it was challenging. He acknowledged that there was a lot of hustle and that people were struggling at Ajegunle. Because his hard work would eventually pay off and laziness would bring nothing, he had to fight for himself and his goals and forget about being lazy. He claimed that while his parents offered him some instruction in school, he always had higher aspirations.
