Skiibii Biography
Skiibii grew up in the Surulere district of Lagos, where she was born. He was born on 5 July 1992. He is a native of Nigeria’s Lagos State.
Skiibii means “a bright and intelligent guy” in English. He claims that when he was younger, his uncle called him “Omo to Skiibii,” When he asked what the phrase meant, he replied that it told “a keen and intellectual person.” So this is how he got the moniker.
He earned a mass communication bachelor’s degree from the University of Ado Ekiti (Now known as Ekiti State University). The choices Skiibii has taken have always made life simpler for him. His selection of music is unmatched, and switching record labels was the best thing he could have done.
Skiibii began his musical career as a rapper in high school before transitioning to R&B.

Skiibii began his musical career in Lagos while still a secondary school student. First, he was a rapper, but because singing was so prominent, he changed to it. When Nigerian business billionaire E-Money and his brother, singer-songwriter Kcee, signed Skiibii to the record company “Five Star Music” on 24 December 2014, Skiibii’s career took off. He was given a brand-new 2014 Hyundai SUV as part of the agreement. Before signing, he had connections to Kcee, the head of Five Star Music, going back to when he was still dating Presh.
Skiibii’s debut song for Five Star Music, “Stay With Me,” featuring his record label partner Kcee, was released on 21 January. He was also a part of Chimbalin’s famous song “Kilimanjaro.”
On 29 August 2015, he allegedly faked his death to pull off a hoax. In 2015, Skiibii was falsely declared dead, and obituary photos flooded social media, supporting the tale. After revealing his survival to his supporters, he accused management of spreading false information and promised to hold the manager accountable. A few days later, his Manager, Soso Soberenko, was sacked. Naturally, his supporters were not pleased, but the deed was done in that he became more famous.
Four years after releasing a few tracks through Five Star Music, Skiibii formally quit the label in January 2018 to start his title, More Grace Music World.
“Sensima,” a song starring Skiibii’s closest buddy in the music business, Reekado Banks, was released in October 2018 and became his first massively successful single. Just a few days before his house rent expires, Skiibii admitted in an interview with Pulse Nigeria that he had spent his rent to film the music video for “Sensima.”
Since its debut, the music video has had over 53 million views on YouTube. Additionally, he revealed that in the first three months of its release, the song “Sensima” brought in about 15 million Naira for him.
Since then, Skiibii has proceeded to release banger after banger, expanded his brand, and even caught Chris Brown’s notice. Chris followed Skiibii on Instagram while still following people on Instagram and face-timed him. On 26 November 2021, Skiibii released his first work, the “God Is Greater Than Man” EP. Seven songs were on the EP.
His most well-known collaboration with Davido, “Baddest Boy,” has elevated him to the top of the afrobeat music charts.
Skiibii is regarded as one of Nigeria’s most fashionable musicians thanks to his style.
