Tobe Nwigwe Biography
Nwigwe is a native of Houston, Texas, and hails from the Alief neighborhood. He is originally from the Igbo ethnic group and is of Nigerian heritage even though he identifies as an American. Although he was raised a Catholic, he eventually went to nondenominational churches.
He played football at Alief Elsik High School and later at the University of North Texas. The NFL considered him for the draft, but he could not play football after suffering a Lisfranc ligament damage.
