Barely a month since Hilda Baci took on the record-breaking cook-a-thon and finished with a 100hrs record, another Nigerian Chef has embarked on the task of breaking Hilda’s record, aiming for 120 hrs.

In Ekiti State’s Oye Local Government Area, the chef named Damilola Adeparusi has started a 120-hour cooking marathon. Once more, this comes just a short time after chef Hilda Baci set a new record for the longest cooking marathon by a single person with a time of 100 hours. The Guinness World Records (GWR), attempting to ensure that “all evidence” is carefully evaluated, has not yet responded to Hilda.

Adeparusi, meantime, has completed 15 of the 120 allotted hours for cooking and is even broadcasting live on Instagram. The news was announced on the Twitter account @Ekiti trending. It will be interesting to see how this plays out over the next few days.

In order to shatter Tata Lala’s previous record of 87 hours and 45 minutes and set a new record for the most extended cooking session by an individual, Hilda Baci had to cook for 100 hours. As previously stated, the Guinness World Record has yet to recognize Baci, claiming that it must thoroughly examine the available data.
