Banky W Is Advised By Social Media User To Pray Against “Village People” Following His Defeat At The Elections
A Nigerian turned to social media to troll singer/politician Banky W after losing the House of Representatives election for the Eti-Osa constituency. In the election that was held on Saturday, Thaddeus Attah of the Labour Party defeated Banky of the PDP. But unfortunately, after initially running with the Modern Democratic Party in 2019, he will be losing the Eti-Osa Federal Constituency election for the second time.
After he lost, a social media user named Oriretan Honour made fun of him by saying that Wizkid leaving his record label, Empire Mates Entertainment, ended his musical career. Also, he asserted that when AY ceased producing the Wedding Party movie, Banky W lost two elections and vanished from the movie industry. Oriretan suggested that he either make his wife Adesuwa the head of the home or offer prayers against “village people.”
In Oriretan’s words: “Banky W, your music career went down when Wizkid left. Your acting career went down when AY ended Wedding Party. Joined politics, lost contest twice. So why not pray fervently against ‘village people’ or consider house-husband let Adesuwa be doing the job & footing bills? Hustling not for u.”
Earlier this week, the Independent National Electoral Commission announced that Mr. Thaddeus Attah of the Labour Party had won the race for the House of Representatives seat representing the Eti-Osa Federal Constituency. With 24,075 votes, Attah defeated PDP candidate Mr. Olubankole Wellington (Banky W), who received 18,666 votes, and APC candidate Mr. Babajide Obanikoro, who received 16,901 votes.
