Naira Marley Came Under Fire On Twitter For His Performance At The APC Lagos Rally

Tensions are undoubtedly high as the 2023 presidential elections, and elections of other offices are just a few days away. As a result, Singer Azeez Fashola, better known by the stage name Naira Marley, is receiving negative feedback on Twitter for taking the stage at the current APC Mega event in Lagos.

Even though most individuals have a preferred candidate, street musician Naira Marley is getting the flak for supporting the All Progressive People’s Party (APC).

A popular video of him performing at the most recent APC campaign rally in Lagos featured one of the street performer’s most well-known songs. In addition, tweets that may be discovered on social media show how people responded after expressing their displeasure with the most recent development.

Many would attribute this lack of love for the political party to the poor performance of its government while in power for the past eight years. They have also decried the hardship that has resulted in the mismanagement of office and the numerous security tensions that have ridiculed the APC-led government.

And despite all the misgivings the party has been able to offer so far, Naira Marley won’t be the only one rooting for an APC candidate as a fellow celebrity and music star, Seun Kuti and Movie Star Toyin Abraham, have also been vocal about their support for an APC candidate in Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

The presidential elections will see Peter Obi, Bola Tinubu, Atiku Abubakar, Rabiu Kwankwaso, Yele Sowore, and several others contest for the office of the President at the 25 February polls.
