Peter Obi Responds To Festus Keyamo & Reno Omokri's Recent Claims Of Assisting Tinubu To Win Presidential Election

Reno Omokri, a social activist, has indicted Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), of deceiving Peter Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, into joining the race to reduce the votes of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in the recently concluded presidential election.

Tinubu, according to Omokri, was aware that Obi lacked national reach and utilized his close business associates to trick him into running. Omokri asserted that Tinubu showed skill in comprehending the psychology of the Obidients, who lacked the humility to see that they were being manipulated.

In locations like Kaduna, the APC is apparently employing the same technique by sponsoring the Labour Party’s gubernatorial campaign, knowing that the people of Southern Kaduna will vote Labour out of emotion and split the votes of the PDP.

Nonetheless, Peter Obi has denied holding any grudges against Tinubu as the winner of the presidential election in 2023. Obi indicated in an interview with Arise TV on Monday that he was just contesting the procedure by which the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) announced Tinubu as the incoming president.

Obi urged INEC to rise to the occasion and assist Nigeria in establishing a positive image in the international community. In addition, he reaffirmed his dedication to a new Nigeria and the necessity of establishing strong democratic institutions that teach people what their jobs entail and what government is all about.

Festus Keyamo, Minister of State for Labour and Productivity, has declared that God raised Peter Obi to make Bola Ahmed Tinubu Nigeria’s president. On his Twitter account, Keyamo stated that Obi was a means to a goal, not the end itself. Obi responded to Keyamo by claiming he did not run for office to assist others in winning but rather to win over the people. He highlighted that democracy is the government of the people, and if one has not earned the support of the people, then they have lost. Furthermore, Obi denied ever having asked someone to rig the election on his behalf.
