Tinubu’s Loyalist MC Oluomo Warns Igbos In Lagos: Stay At Home If You Won’t Vote APC

Chairman of the Lagos State Parks Management Committee MC Oluomo has cautioned Igbos not to vote in the next gubernatorial election if they do not support the governing All Progressives Congress (APC). In a viral video, he addressed APC supporters with this comment.

He stated that the Igbos should not vote if they did not support the APC. This warning comes after Peter Obi of the Labour Party won the presidential election in Lagos state on February 25, making Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, the LP’s candidate in Lagos state, a formidable opponent to incumbent Babajide Sanwo-Olu of the APC.

Nigerians have gone to Twitter to voice their displeasure at MC Oluomo’s remarks, calling them a needless provocation and an insult to the Igbos. Some individuals have even vowed to hold the security apparatus accountable if something happens to the Igbos in Lagos.Tinubu'S Loyalist Mc Oluomo Warns Igbos In Lagos: Stay At Home If You Won'T Vote Apc, Yours Truly, News, April 25, 2024Tinubu'S Loyalist Mc Oluomo Warns Igbos In Lagos: Stay At Home If You Won'T Vote Apc, Yours Truly, News, April 25, 2024Tinubu'S Loyalist Mc Oluomo Warns Igbos In Lagos: Stay At Home If You Won'T Vote Apc, Yours Truly, News, April 25, 2024

This is not the first time MC Oluomo has made headlines. The Independent National Election Commission (INEC) was previously forbidden from utilizing MC Oluomo’s committee for logistics during elections, and he falsely claimed that no protestors were murdered at the Lekki tollgate during the #EndSARS demonstrations.

On March 18, 2023, gubernatorial and State Assembly elections will be held in numerous states in Nigeria.
