Tinubu’s Remark On Atiku & Udom Gabriel Emmanuel While Campaigning In Akwa Ibom
Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), made a gaffe during a campaign rally in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State. He referred to the state governor, Udom Gabriel Emmanuel, as a boy and called Atiku Abubakar, a former senate president, instead of vice president.
Tinubu’s campaign has been under scrutiny due to allegations of poor health condition since he announced his intention to contest for the presidency. During the rally, Tinubu also made reference to when Atiku fell out with ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo and was given a platform to contest the 2007 presidency by the then Action Congress (AC).
Akwa Ibom State government approved an International stadium for Tinubu to do rally. There is no stadium of that standard in Lagos. He landed on the State airport and lodged in the State hotel yet insulted the Governor in his own land. I’m not supporting any of them but this is a pic.twitter.com/PGIXP67krd

Tinubu went to Uyo to insult the Governor. Listen to Udom response to a man whose wives, children, wealth, businesses are shrouded in secrecy. I will rather follow Atiku than follow this mannerless Tinubu whose ill gotten wealth has gotten to his head. What a shame. @realFFKpic.twitter.com/v2qyT1ljAi

Tinubu claimed that he rescued Atiku from Obasanjo and rehabilitated him, but Atiku wasted the opportunity and used it to collect money.
The APC governorship candidate in Akwa Ibom State, Akanimo Udofia, has repeatedly claimed that Tinubu will transform Akwa Ibom and make it look like Lagos State. Tinubu was the governor of Lagos from 1999 to 2007 and his campaign is claiming that he is responsible for the development and progress in Lagos State.
Tinubu has vowed to prioritize employment opportunities for the vast majority of Nigerians, particularly the people of Akwa-Ibom State. Speaking before a massive crowd at the Nest of Champion Stadium in Uyo, Tinubu thanked the people of Akwa-Ibom for their warm welcome and said the power to become president resides with the people.
Several people who reacted on social media to Udofia’s claims about Lagos stated that despite its tall buildings and business opportunities, Lagos is filthy and chaotic. Tinubu’s controversial statements and Udofia’s claims have sparked discussions among Nigerians on social media.
