A federal judge issued a gag order on Monday, preventing Donald Trump from disparaging witnesses, court employees, or the prosecution, and this resulted in a frenzied campaign by the accused former president on social media. However, Jimmy Kimmel has claimed that former President Trump unintentionally discovered the truth during the tirade.
The former president, who is being prosecuted for 91 felonies in four separate cases, is already using the order as a fundraising tool, stating in an email that the ruling was made against “all American people.” Trump stated,
“Today really isn’t about gagging me; it’s an attempt to gag the American people.”
“What they don’t understand is that I am willing to go to jail if that’s what it takes for our country to win and become a democracy again,”
On his show on Monday, Jimmy Kimmel addressed a statement made by President Trump during a campaign event in Iowa regarding the supposed gag order. Kimmel corrected Trump’s assertion and added his rebuttal.
“No, it’s you,” “We’re still able to say pretty much anything we want.”
“Oh, yeah. We understand that,”.
“That actually is the plan: You go to jail, and the country becomes a democracy again. I’m glad we’re finally on the same page.”
