Davido Set To Repay Debt Of Viral Businessman Who Called Him Out On Social Media
Davido has recently been at the receiving end of social media banter after a businessman named Abdulsalami called the OBO star out on social media for refusing to pay a debt that has lingered for a while now. This development comes after Abusalami publicly called out Davido for failing to pay the sum owed for a cancelled football documentary project. According to the businessman, despite repeated requests over several months, he has not received any compensation from Davido, and the star hasn’t reached out either, hence the need to come public with his claims and proof. Netizens reacted to his posts and live sessions on social media as they also called out celebrities who owed brands that supported them by doing business with them while living the life on the gram and living lavishly.
Following these increasing reports on social media, reports have emerged that Nigerian music superstar Davido is now allegedly preparing to refund at least half of the 218 million naira he owes to photographer Abusalami. An anonymous Nigerian journalist revealed on Twitter that inside sources have suggested that Davido is aiming to pay back part of the debt very soon, with the hopes of resolving the escalating public dispute between him and Abusalami.
With his credibility now seriously in question, the reports say Davido is taking this matter seriously and is ready to take action by repaying even a portion of the debt, which could help rebuild trust among his fans. This, however, won’t be the first time the DMW boss is being called out for owing debts, as another artist, Dammy Krane, has also laid claims of being owed by the “unavailable” crooner.
