Soon!: Davido Answers Fan Who Questions When He Would Hold A Stadium Concert

Recently, there has been some online discussion surrounding the MLLE tour at Tottenham Stadium, with Davido receiving some criticism from fans. One supporter queried when Davido could sell out stadiums like his fellow artist, Wizkid. It’s worth noting that Wizkid recently made history as the first African artist to sell out London’s 70,000-capacity stadium. In response to the fan’s comment, Davido offered his thoughts.

A curious fan asked Davido if he had plans to explore a similar path to his colleague’s. The question seemed to have a hint of comparison.

His tweet read, “Over to you, David, stadium when?”

Replying to him, Davido prayed for him to be alive when he would do so as he promised it wouldn’t be too long.

Davido is well-known for expressing his views whenever he deems it appropriate. In a recent incident, he argued with followers of his rival artist, Burna Boy, who had expressed a desire for his death. A fervent supporter of Burna Boy lambasted Davido on the micro-blogging platform, leading to a tense exchange.

A video clip had surfaced online featuring a crowded concert by Burna Boy. A social media user compared the turnout and posited that although Davido’s concert is free, it’s unlikely to attract as big a crowd as Burna Boy’s. He however used the word “burial” to show derogatory slurs. The comparison sparked a discussion among fans of both artists, with some defending Davido’s event, while others acknowledged Burna Boy’s popularity and ability to draw a massive crowd.

“Even Davido’s burial that would be free can’t pack this crowd. Know ur mate”.

Davido responded by asking why anyone would wish him harm and was furious but kept his cool as other netizens tackled the user.

Despite being unable to fill stadiums of 70,000 like Burna Boy and Wizkid, the singer is still doing very well for himself and his fans since his return from hiatus. He had sold out venues in America following his “Timeless” tour and is set to begin his European leg soon.
