Nigerian Singer Receives Multiple Certifications from RIAA
Tems, the Grammy award-winning Nigerian singer, continues to make waves in the international music scene. Recently, she further solidified her position as a leading figure in the industry by becoming the most certified Nigerian female artist in the United States. This accolade was achieved following the confirmation of two new certifications by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA).
The singer’s track “Higher,” which is a part of her ‘Leading Vibe’ EP, has been certified gold after reaching sales of over 500,000 units in the U.S. Additionally, her viral hit “Free Mind” has achieved platinum status, with sales surpassing 1,000,000 units in the country. These recent certifications have increased Tems’ total count to four, making her the highest certified female artist from Nigeria in the U.S.
