Bradley Charles Cooper was born on January 5, 1975, and grew up in the nearby communities of Jenkintown and Rydal. Cooper attended Germantown Academy, attended Villanova University for his first year, then transferred to Georgetown, graduating from the Honors English program at Georgetown University in 1997. He moved to New York City to enrol in the Masters of Fine Arts program at the Actors Studio Drama School at New School University. During his time there, he honed his skills on stage, and his thesis performance as John Merrick in Bernard Pomerance’s “The Elephant Man” at New York’s Circle in the Square was the culmination of his stage work. Cooper has remained sober since 2004 and fans the Philadelphia Eagles in the National Football League.
