Diddy Files Request To Throw Out Some Claims In Sexual Assault Case Over 1991 Allegations

The attorneys representing US rapper and business mogul, Sean “Diddy” Combs, have requested that a New York court strike down some of the allegations made against him in a sexual assault case filed in November.

The lady claimed that Combs had drugged and sexually assaulted her in 1991 while she was a student at Syracuse University. Some of the accusations “were brought under statutes that did not exist at the time the alleged misconduct occurred,” according to court documents filed by Combs’ attorneys on Friday, April 26.

In particular, the brief contends that accusations pertaining to revenge porn and human trafficking should be rejected with prejudice because the laws pertaining to these activities were not in place when Joi Dickerson-Neal claimed she was sexually attacked by Diddy in 1991.

Dickerson-Neal was accused of fabricating the story by Combs, who had earlier dismissed the allegations. As previously mentioned, Dickerson-Neal’s lawyers asserted that she was the victim of “revenge porn” after the music mogul supposedly videotaped the event and distributed it to other musicians.

Combs allegedly drove 19-year-old Dickerson-Neal to a recording studio in January 1991 after taking her to dinner at a Harlem restaurant. According to the lawsuit, which was filed in November 2023, Dickerson-Neal was purposefully drugged, “resulting in her being in a physical state where she could not independently stand or walk.”
