The Nigerian music industry has been abuzz with speculation regarding singer Hadiza Blell, popularly known as Di’Ja, and her alleged sudden exit from Don Jazzy’s Mavin Records. Contrary to the swirling rumors, Di’Ja has taken a stand to clarify her status with the record label and to set the record straight.
Responding to a fan’s query on social media, which speculated that she could have achieved even greater success than rising star Tems had she stayed with Mavin Records, Di’Ja emphatically stated that she never left the label. She expressed her gratitude for the love and support she has received and took the opportunity to extend her best wishes to Tems, stating, “God bless Tems, and I need her to get bigger.”
Di’Ja signed with Mavin Records in February 2014 and quickly became a household name in Nigeria.
