Romelu Lukaku Biography

Not everyone can claim that they knew what they wanted right from when they were young. Romelu Lukaku was one of the few exceptions. Even as a kid, he knew football was his bread and butter. He was inspired by his footballer father called Roger.

His football career reportedly started at the age of 5 when he joined Rupel Boom. He spent four seasons at the club until he was discovered by scouts from a Belgian pro league. The scouts from Lierse took Romelu with them and he played for the club between 2004 and 2006.

He was in impressive form in the club until it suffered relegation and the club sold him alongside 12 others to Anderlecht. He was a youth player for the club until he signed a professional contract in 2019. In the intervening years, he had joined other clubs and consolidated his place among the top footballers out there.

The footballer was born in Belgium and has the citizenship of that country.

Romelu Lukaku’s family comprises himself and his two sons, Rome and Jordan. He is no longer with their mother (allegedly), so her name isn’t included as part of his family.

Romelu Lukaku’s parents comprise Adolphine (mother) and Roger (father). Details about the two are given in different sections below.

Roger Lukaku, who is of Congolese origins, is the father of Belgian star Romelu Lukaku. A footballer himself, Roger played the forward position in his active years. He is now officially retired but still keeps track of developments in the world of football.

Adolphine Bolingoli is the lady who gave birth to Romelu Lukaku back in 1993. Romelu happens to be her first son and also the most famous of her two children.

Romelu Lukaku has a sibling known as Jordan Lukaku, who is also a footballer. Of the two brothers, though, the oldest happens to be more famous.

The Belgian striker has a younger brother named Jordan. Interestingly, like his older brother, Jordan is also a footballer. Last we checked, he was playing for  SD Ponferradina a Spanish club.

Romelu Lukaku isn’t known to have a sister. He is only known to have a brother called Jordan after whom he named his second son.

He might be busy on the pitch most of the time, but Romelu Lukaku still creates time to bond with his two children, both boys. Romeo is the older child and Jordan is the youngest. Lukaku, who grew up in poverty, is determined his kids should not experience the same.

The Belgian football ace lives lavish – the reality of most people who have made it, especially in the football arena, From private jet cruises to Rolls Royce rides, the footballer knows how to live the good life.

When you have become rich and famous, the ladies are never in short supply. That’s also the reality of the Belgian striker. He is known to have had his fair share of women and dated the socialite Sarah Mens at some point. Current reports indicate they are no longer together and Lukaku himself was spotted with rapper Megan Thee Stallion. Sources claim the two are dating.

Net Worth

How much is Romelu Lukaku worth? That’s one question to keep flying all over the place and for the right reason. He is in the public eye, a public figure that many people look up to and some even call their idol. He wouldn’t dwell on how much he is worth, but external sources have been throwing figures all over the place.

A May 2023 report estimated his net worth to be $150 – a fortune in every sense of the word.

One thing about most wealthy footballers – indeed, you might say most wealthy celebrities – is that they usually splurge on cars. They spare nothing when it comes to acquiring some of the finest machines money can buy. These cars include an Aston Martin, a Ferrari, a Mercedes, Range Rover, and an Audi.

A man with the fortune Romelu Lukaku has been able to accumulate would be able to buy homes in some of the choicest places around the world. It is unclear exactly how many homes he owns. However, one of his homes appears to stand out the most – a palatial crib in the heart of Greater Manchester. You can immerse yourself in the world of that home in the clip below.

Romelu Lukaku’s stats might not be the best in the world but they are pretty impressive in themselves. They follow below.

Footballers earn pretty high, and when they are skilled, they can negotiate anything and earn well above the pack. Well, it might be said that the Belgian is one of the top-earning footballers out there, with an annual salary of about 12 million EUR – a small fortune by any standard.
