Blaqbonez Reveals That Asake Was His Backup Singer
Emeka Akumefule, also known as Blaqbonez, is a Nigerian hip-hop artist who just claimed that Asake, the current rave, was once his backup singer before becoming famous. At Obafemi Awolowo University in Ife, Osun State, he claimed to have known his colleagues Fireboy, Asake, Superboi Cheque, Yhemolee, and Zamorra since the beginning of their careers.
The “Bling” singer recalled that Zamorra and Asake used to provide background vocals for him in the studio. On a recent episode of Hip TV’s Trending, BlaqBonez and reality personality Kimoprah discussed this.
Blaq also mentioned that he used to ask Asake to help him figure things out as regards the music. He also does not take the assistance or that phase of his life for granted because, according to him, every phase of Blaqbonez helped model the Blaqbonez of today. His latest interview with HipTV comes after the publication of two hot new snippets to his upcoming new songs.
On Monday and Tuesday, respectively, Blaq dropped off teaser clips to his new songs scheduled for release this Friday. And from an outpouring of fan reactions on social media, it is obvious the Blaq Force cannot wait to enjoy the 2-pack single, “Like Ice Spice” and “Like Bezos.”
