BBNaija’s Vee And Iyanya Spark Dating Rumours As Star Reacts To Post On Social Media

Relationship rumours amongst celebrities will always be a thing -be it true or false- and this time, Nigerian singer Iyanya has reacted to the claims that he is “dating” Big Brother Naija’s “Lockdown” housemate Vee Iye.

According to the media, Vee Iye had uploaded a picture of herself with an unidentified male and a proclamation of love, allegedly leading to romance rumours. Vee posted a photo of her rumoured beau’s tattooed arms while keeping the identity of her boo a secret. She captioned the photo,

“Life of a hopeful romantic”

Through the tattooed hands, internet sleuths continued to uncover her mystery boo’s identity. Since the hands “matched,” many assumed that the reality star was dating Iyanya. Iyanya responded to the rumours by pointing out that they lacked supporting proof and promising to continue debunking them. His words were,

“No evidence. You go dey explain tire”.

Remember that Vee Iye dated Neo Akpofure, her co-housemate and BBnaija All-Stars Housemate, both inside and outside the house, for almost a year? Unfortunately, the couple’s relationship reached a rough patch when they decided to stop following each other on social media.

Vee Iye said her relationship with Neo ended amicably and without incident during an interview with Stephanie Coker for her podcast, Me, Her, and Everything. She claimed that Everything was going well between them until they decided to part ways. Vee Iye acknowledged that she was upset by their break-up since she had no idea how it would negatively affect her. Regarding her romantic life, Vee Iye admitted she is “to a stupor,” single since many individuals want to hurt others because they have already been hurt.

“I am single to stupor. And the people that are single to stupor are all mad. We are all mad, hurt people hurting people. People that are still suffering from their last relationship”.

Iyanya was also rumoured to have dated Yvonne Nelson, the famous Ghanaian actress. After three years of dating, which started in 2012, the two decided to break up. Iyanya told details about their relationship during a conversation on their break-up with MTV Base VJ Ehiz on ‘Real Talk’. He said they have remained cool after their break-up and that their relationship was legitimate; nevertheless, he acknowledged that their celebrity status made their relationship more complicated.

“Yeah, we’re cool man, we’re cool, yeah. We dated big time. It was a Big proper relationship. Back on forth”.

Iyanya was accused of cheating on Yvonne with Tonto Dikeh in Yvonne’s memoir years after their breakup.Though he had refuted her assertions, the singer had questioned why she was leaking so much information.
