Davido Reacts To BBN’s Phyna Post Following Social Media Exchange
Well-known Nigerian musician Davido replied to a post made by Big Brother Naija Season 7 winner Phyna after inadvertently liking a tweet that referred to her as a “useless celebrity.” Following her reaction, Davido promptly apologized to Phyna for the mishap and clarified that he did not intend to endorse derogatory remarks toward her. He emphasized his respect for her talent and achievements, even though he admitted he “didn’t know” her.
The misunderstanding started when a Twitter user called Phyna a useless celebrity and questioned why people idolized her in a tweet that OBO ” “mistakenly” liked. In response to the tweet, Phyna tagged the “Unavailable” crooner saying,
“Wetin I do @davido ???? Na wah oh, The hate is real….., Congratulations on your twins sha.”
Realizing the mistake, Davido responded to Phyna’s post with an apology, saying,
“Thank you love ?? but I actually don’t know who you are .. and it was an honest mistake .. no vex.”
Social media continued buzzing with talk about Davido and Phyna’s encounter, with many people applauding Davido for his humility and his apology to Phyna. A few others have also taken issue with the Twitter user who made the derogatory comment towards Phyna.
