Nigeria’s 2023 elections have prompted a response from renowned singer, songwriter, and performer Damini Ogulu, better known as Burna Boy. The singer from Port Harcourt, who did not cast a vote, voiced his opinions online. As a result, in actively participating in the 2023 presidential, senate, and house of representatives elections, Nigerians flocked out in great numbers on Saturday, February 25, 2022.

Burna Boy published this after being criticized on Twitter for his and other artists’ quiet during the election by some users. Burna Boy has been in the spotlight, mainly because many people expected him to speak out during the election because his music frequently references the struggle of Nigerians.

According to many listeners, the main reason for his detractors’ criticism is that he hadn’t lived up to his words.
