Burna Boy Reacts To Bagging Billboard Music Award For Top Afrobeats Artist
Well-known Afrobeats artists have remained at the forefront of the genre’s discourse as regards global recognition; this time, Ebunoluwa Damini Ogulu, also known as Burna Boy, is thrilled to have received the latest Billboard Afrobeats award and has taken to social media to flaunt it. Nominated for a Grammy Award in 2024, the artist won yet another award at the just-completed Billboard Music Award on November 19. He was presented with the trophy and took it to X when he accepted the 2023 Top Afrobeat Award. In his speech, he said he was only getting started with his bigger victories in mind.
The award was also dedicated to all African artists by the African Giant crooner. He wished them luck and told them that they all had bright futures. He also mentioned that they would soon witness his plans for his musical career. The singer’s outstanding performance as an Afrobeat music act was highlighted by the renowned award organizer in a post.
