Glastonbury 2024: More Names Added To Line-up As Stage Announcements Begin
Glastonbury Festival has once again added more excitement to its 2024 line-up. As the days count toward the festival, the organisers have begun announcing the artists performing on its stages. The Acoustic Stage, which has been kicking off the festival since 2002, has recently revealed its line-up for the upcoming festival.
On Friday, June 28, the Acoustic Stage will open with Scouting For Girls, a British pop-rock band who have had chart-topping success with their catchy tunes. They will be joined by Tanita Tikaram, Deverish, Stornoway, Josh Rous, Angie McMahon, John Smith, The Burma and other talented musicians. The Red Hot Chilli Pipers, a Red Hot Chili Peppers’ cover band, will also perform on Friday, adding a unique twist to the line-up.
Saturday’s Acoustic Stage line-up features Birmingham rock group Ocean Colour Scene, who will bring their signature guitar sound to the stage. The line-up includes Ralph McTell, The Manfields (featuring Paul Jones and Mike d’Abo), Albert Lee, and many talented artists. Fun Lovin’ Crime Writers, a supergroup of crime writers who are musicians, will offer a unique performance. Russell Crowe, with his annual Indoor Garden Party, will also perform on Saturday, offering a unique opportunity to see the Hollywood legend in an intimate setting.
Sunday’s Acoustic Stage performances will be led by the Gipsy Kings (featuring Tonino Baliardo), talented musicians known for their rumba flamenca sound. The line-up includes Judy Collins, a singer-songwriter known for her folk music, the London Community Gospel Choir, Bernard Butler, Michele Stodart, Grace Petrie, Frankie Archer and other talented musicians.
The festival will be held from June 28 to June 30, and the line-ups for the other stages will be announced soon. The organisers have promised to add many new names to the bill. It has been reported that this year’s edition has seen the “highest percentage of ticket balances paid ever,” indicating a high demand for tickets. As a result, “very limited” tickets will be available for resale. The festival promises a memorable experience for all music lovers, with an incredible line-up of talented musicians from various genres.
