Vampire Weekend Announced To Join Coachella 2024 Weekend One Line-up

Indie rock music lovers have a reason to rejoice as Vampire Weekend, the famous New York City-based band, has been announced to perform at Coachella 2024, one of the world’s most highly anticipated music festivals. The festival’s organizers made a surprise addition to the bill by announcing the band’s last-minute slot on the Outdoor Theatre stage this Saturday, April 13th, between 5 pm and 5:45 pm.

Vampire Weekend’s recent album, “Only God Was Above Us,” released last Friday, April 5th, has received widespread acclaim from critics and fans alike. Their upcoming performance at Coachella 2024 is expected to be a 45-minute musical extravaganza that will mesmerize the audience.

Although it hasn’t been confirmed whether the band will return for a second show on the festival’s second weekend, their previous appearances at Coachella in 2008, 2010, and 2013 have made them a fan favourite. This year’s Coachella festival will see a stellar line-up, with Lana Del Rey, Tyler, The Creator, and Doja Cat set to headline. Other acts on the line-up include No Dolineupur, Justice, Deftones, Grimes, Bleachers, and Khruangbin. The festival’s organizers announced the surprise addition to the Coachella 2024 bill while sharing the full schedule for weekend one on April 9th. They wrote “Vampire Weekend 1” in the caption and shared an image of the festival site featuring the title, “(Vampire) Weekend One.” Fans can expect a weekend of music, art, and culture, with some of the biggest names in the music industry performing on multiple stages.

Before their Coachella appearance, Vampire Weekend kicked off their 2024 North American tour on Monday, April 8th, with a special gig in Austin, Texas, to coincide with the total solar eclipse. The band gave some songs their live debuts during the show and were joined on stage by Phoenix’s Thomas Mars. The concert was live-streamed via Veeps and is available on-demand exclusively for Veeps All Access subscribers.

In addition to their upcoming Coachella performance, the band is set to perform at several other festivals throughout the season, including Primavera Sound, Kilby Block Party, and Hinterland. They will also head out on tour in Europe, the UK, and Ireland this year, and fans can catch them performing at Radio 1’s Big Weekend in Luton next month. With their busy touring schedule and upcoming festival performances, Vampire Weekend will make 2024 a memorable year for their fans.
