Kwam1’s 102-Year-Old Mother Dances Joyfully And Carefree At Her Son’s Chieftaincy Ceremony

Veteran Nigerian Fuji singer Wasiu Ayinde Marshal, recognized as K1 de Ultimate, has officially been crowned as the new Olori Omo Oba Akile of Ijebuland today. The coronation happened on Tuesday, September 26. Before this, Kwam 1 had just returned from seclusion (Ilete), where he spent seven days preparing for his coronation.

K1’s 102-year-old mother, on the other hand, has stolen the show as videos of her coming at the coronation grounds have gone viral. Online comments have been prompted by videos of Kwam1’s mother vigorously dancing, whining, twisting, and shaking her waist.

The singer’s mother was unable to attend his chieftaincy coronation in Oyo state a few years ago due to health concerns, but she came prepared to celebrate with her son this time. In addition, the recently concluded Ojude Oba festival in Ijebu Ode, Ogun State, awarded KWAM 1 De Ultimate the chieftaincy title of “Olori Omo Oba.”

The deceased Chief Subomi Balogun, founder of the First City Monument Bank, who passed away on May 18, 2023, was the last person to hold the position. The Awujale of Ijebuland, Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona, a distinguished Oba in Yorubaland, gave the title to the Fuji musician. He also received congratulations on social media.
