For the candlelight vigil and memorial concert slated Thursday for the late artist Mohbad, Davido has finally arrived in Nigeria. The DMW label chief revealed he would return to Nigeria for the procession. Many of Davido’s supporters and well-wishers have praised him on social media after he kept his word and landed in the country to pay respects to the rising star whose death has caused a significant outcry for justice.
The candlelight procession and memorial concert for the late Mohbad are scheduled to take place in Lekki, Lagos, on Thursday, September 21. According to the reports, Davido announced on his Instagram story that he would return home for the occasion. One of the most well-known celebrities in the nation to support the late Mohbad included Davido in his outreach to his family after his passing.
The DMW CEO posted videos of himself exiting a plane as he landed in the nation, with his close friend and logistic manager, Isreal DMW, heard welcoming him. The DMW artist touched people’s hearts with a video of him paying respect to Mohbad at his ‘Timeless’ concert in Manchester. In a video, Davido told fans who came to see him play that it’s not always easy for singers. This came after he sent N2 million as a sympathy gift to Mohbad’s father.
